Contemporary Artisan Bakelite Utilizing Vintage Materials Checkerboard Bangle Bracelet

Black and White Checkerboard bangle created from all vintage materials by Brandon Welch. This is an 18 count, 3 Row checkerboard bangle measuring 1.12 inches wide, 3/8 inches thick and has a RARE large opening of 2.75 inches to accommodate a larger wrist. This bracelet will turn to black and butterscotch when the vintage patina returns with age and wearing enjoyment. Brandon Welch is an avid Nouveau and Deco jewelry collector with a focus on Bakelite and early plastics. He is an experienced sculptor of 15 years with work in many mediums. These last few years more and more of his focus has become Bakelite. With Bakelite Jewelry, Brandon brings the finesse of a jeweler. Brandon has an extensive palette of genuine vintage Bakelite material to choose from, to create these original pieces. The last photograph shows what the Bakelite looked like when it was newly created it now is showing signs of the beautiful patina that will only grow finer with age.
