Pair of Modernist artisan bracelets signed BLANCK


Wonderful collage of painting in gold, black, copper and others.
2 bracelets in this lot, one Triangle, one Round.
This is a fabulous companion matching set.

The bangles have original painted signatures on the inside.
Inner Diameter of round bracelet is a little over 2.5 inches,
Triangle inner diameter is hard, each interior side is about 2.75 inches,
but I think for maybe a smaller wrist/hand.

I am hoping to find the matching earrings to this set...

About Blanck


Blanck attended Parsons School of Design and received a degree in Fine Arts in 1958.

​In the late 70's he developed his present form of painting on maple wood and created a line of wearable art, Wood Images.

The shapes can vary from round, hexagonal, triangular or square to hand tooled geometric forms.
He enhances the work with semi precious stones and rare beads.
He finishes the painted wood surface with several coats of lacquer.

Blanck shows his jewelry in top art shows across the country and have sold in museum gift shops,
including but not limited to, the LA Moca, and the de Young Museum of San Francisco.
Blanck Spheres
​In 1975 he developed the form of painting on maple wood spheres.
At that time he found that working in the round presented new compositional challenges not found in the two dimensional art form.
The spheres range in size from 4” diameter to 24” diameter .
The paintings are both abstract and representational,
where spatial and color relationships are constantly changing depending on the positioning of the sphere.

Blanck's work has been collected privately for over four decades.
