This Coro jelly belly pin was designed by Adolph Katz in 1947 (see 1948 Patent) and was advertised by Coro as one of 3 variations of jelly belly fish pins called "Sea Imps" (see 1949 ad), with this one being the most expensive of the three. It also appears on pages 175 & 176 of Brunialti’s book "American Costume Jewelry". The tail and head have pave-set clear rhinestones, with a red rhinestones eye and the lucite "belly" is set with rhinestones. Coro made different lines of Jelly Bellies, these are not the ones that were sterling or meant to be a duette, this is a pin back brooch as shown in the photo. This cute little imp is almost 2 inches long and 1 inch wide.
This brooch is in very good condition, the lucite is not scratched, just light reflections, I have tried to photograph it so you can see the great condition.

Excellent A+++++ seller and super fast delivery. OMG this little fish is to live for. I love it! I have been buying from Kim for about 4 years and I will be back. Thanks, for the brooch converter and the bakelite pads. Take care, have fun and stay safe. Carole
